Elizabeth Olsen is probably best known for kicking the bad guy in the Avengers movies (and now in the newly released spin-off series WandaVision) but at the time she was better known as the younger sister of a very famous twin. If her name or the fact that she looks exactly like them did not put you off, Elizabeth is the younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashely Olsen. But as it turns out, she actually has a few other siblings as well.
There’s her older brother, as well as a younger half-sister and half-brother from her father’s second marriage, giving you a total of six Olsen children, which makes TBH look like a crazy amount. Like, how do they not end up with a Byhou-esque show of their own? I think I can safely say that we would all be trying to get some BTS secrets to being a freaking Marvel superhero, or a sneak peak at Mary-Kate and Ashely’s ~ creative process ~, or how ?
But with the uber-talented genes found in the family, you just know that even the lesser-known Olsens all lead their own very successful lives. So if you ever wanted to find out more about all of Elizabeth’s siblings, here’s everything you need to know about each of them.
James Trent Olsen
The eldest Olsen brother or sister managed to stay mostly out of the spotlight, although he did have a few cameos in his younger sisters. You are invited to Mary-Kate and Ashley’s Sleepover Party and The Case of the Mystery Cruise where he played himself. But TBH, he was quite a brilliant entrepreneur from a very young age and would sell his famous twin sisters’ autographs to other kids at school. You must respect the rush!
He goes by his middle name, Trent, but it was his first name, James, (along with Elizabeth’s, duh) that inspired the name of Mary-Kate and Ashely’s fragrance line: Elizabeth and James.
The now 36-year-old Olsen is a graduate of the New York Film Academy, where he is studying screenwriting and acting, and he now works in film production, so he is not completely outside the industry. He is also a successful comic book writer for Storm King Comics.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen
If you are not yet familiar with Mary-Kate and Ashley and their endless realm, I’m sorry, but under what color did you live the rock? The twins set the child a precedent in their family after playing their part Voltal at six months old, and Elizabeth even performed both of her first plays Voltal and How the West was nice when she was just a little baby.
They are now 34 years old and have acted completely to concentrate on their fashion empire. And Mary-Kate recently made headlines thanks to her verrrry public divorce of Olivier Sarkozy.
One nice fact you probably do not know: Mary-Kate and Ashley are actually fraternal twins * GASP *. It beats, even though it looks like a total copy and paste of each other, they are actually no identical twins. These must be some very consistent genes!
Courtney Taylor Olsen
Elizabeth’s younger half-sister, Courtney, is the daughter of their father, David Olsen, and his second wife, McKenzie Olsen. She is now 25 years old, but in her younger days she had a few movies, just like her big sisters. According to her IMDB, she can be seen in YOLO: The movie and Malicious spirits: sense of fiction.
She also has an active Instagram where she does not post also lots of brother and sister content, but made Elizabeth scream at least one cute supportive sister from the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War where she wrote, “Admire my bad sister.”

Jake Olsen
The youngest Olsen is definitely the hardest of the six siblings to spot, as he seems to have been completely under the radar for the past few years. He is now 23 years old, but different the most 23-year-olds, he has not touched his Instagram for almost four years! He did try to do modeling a few years ago and in an interview with Runway, he talked about what it was like to grow up with so many siblings.
“In a family of six children, you learn that it’s not always about you. I like every chaotic moment I have when my family is all together. It’s much more normal than you’d think … all of us support each other’s dreams. “
