Elizabeth Chambers responds to accusations by Armie Hammer

Armie Hammer’s ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers, finally spoke out about the allegations against Hammer of sexual assault and emotional abuse. On February 1, Chambers posted a photo of a sunset and wrote in its caption how shocked, sad and devastated she was over the stories of Hammer’s accused. She went on to say, “I did not realize how much I did not know,” and suggested that she was unaware of Hammer’s alleged actions against other women. “I support any victim of assault or abuse and urge anyone who has experienced this pain to seek the help he or she needs to heal,” she added, explaining that she would not comment further, but rather her energy on the ex-couple’s two children.

Technically, on January 29, Chambers spoke for the first time about the scandal, saying, ‘No. Words. ”On an Instagram post about Hammer’s Call me by your name colleagues Luca Guadagnino and Timothee Chalamet’s upcoming film on cannibalism. Amid the recent controversy, Hammer has left projects, including The offer, a miniseries about making The godfather, and the Jennifer Lopez movie Shotgun Wedding. I’ve been trying to process everything that happened for weeks. I am shocked, sad and crushed. Aside from sadness, I listen and I will continue to listen and educate myself on these delicate matters. I did not realize how much I do not know.

I support any victim of assault or abuse and urge anyone experiencing this pain to seek the help he or she needs to heal.

At this time, I will not comment further on this matter.

My exceptional focus and attention will continue to be on our children, on my work and on healing during this incredibly difficult time.
