Elden Ring, the next game from FromSoftware, has always been highly anticipated – but it has recently gained cult status due to the silence of the Japanese developer about it. Just what is the status of this project? And why does it take so long to get back into the public eye? Comments from various journalists have raised hopes that a rediscovery is imminent.
First up is the turn of GamesBeat writer, screenwriter, crystal ball viewer Jeff Grubb: he indicated on a podcast that the game could be shown by the end of March. However, he added the infamous indemnity from the industry: “I know enough to be confident, but if it expires in April, I apologize, but I will keep saying that you will not wait long.”
Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier has since addressed Grubb’s comments on him Twitter: “I know a lot of people are desperate for Elden Ring news. I do not know much about it, except that it is a lot delayed. But there is strong evidence floating around that the game will be shown relatively soon. It’s not going to pull a wind of winter. Elden Ring has pages. ”
A revelation is therefore imminent. Both of these sources are reliable, and while plans can change behind the scenes, of course, it sounds like some kind of update is almost certainly in the immediate pipeline. We’ll take it for now, because we’ve desperate to learn more about this project – hopefully it’s not too far away.
