Eiza González: “The directors are the ones who say they are Mexican”

Eiza González is in a dulce moment. There is no para de trabajar 31 years ago. This week presents itself as the image of Louis Vuitton’s new perfume in a campaign that has a lot to offer and the same time as the weeks in the summer of the week, Godzilla teen Kong, which hopes to convert into the movie more tequillera in Chinese in more than one year.

The Mexican actress is waiting for us from Los Angeles to talk about the blockbuster that she is working on alongside Demián Bichir, the industry’s tendency to recruit Latin actresses and co-workers in Holywood and Engels.

Question: Godzilla vs. Kong filmed before the pandemic. Are you like a very poor man?

Eiza González: Creo que filmamos en 2018. Ya ni sé… Cuando haces este type de pelíkula sabes que va tomar un pocco de tiempo par la animation y toda la technology. But now it’s a sad thing that the train is inside a pandemic and we can share with the fans in person, can go to Asia, do the promotions that we will … Because this energy is contagious. But I am very happy with the result. The movie is very entertaining. The people will have fun, which they believe is what we need to do.

P .: Godzilla y King Kong llevan toda la vida. Where do you think the next generation is?

E.g: We always identify with the monsters of monsters because we allow them to fantasize about the “qué pasaría” if they live in a world with other titans. It regresses a smallpox to which hibernates passed and we live with the dinosaurs, which tend to control. And there is also a connection with nature. Human beings have the curiosity of being the most powerful nature of nature – as it has the physique to impress against us.

P .: Your character is Maya, the daughter of Demián Bichir. Sois un poco los “malos”, eres la villana de la pelicula …

E.g: Demián y yo lo hablamos. I believe that we do not observe any person like the villain or the hero, because when he sees his ways he can fall into the stereotype. I believe that the agenda of our characters is honest. They truly believe that technology will save Humanity. But also Demián’s character has a lot of warning. It’s a lunatic genius who wants to take control. She also has a history of re-indication, demonstrating to her father that she can log on to the foot.

P .: If there are very convenient action characters and characters.

E.g: Step to do everything a little. I like the dynamic characters. Play with fantasy. It also has to do with industry, which, if it were to have a way of doing things, would always be so. Poco a poco estoy haciendo otro tipo de proyectos, como “Descuida, yo te cuido” (“I Care a Lot”, on Netflix). But I like the movies of this genre. For me the magic of cinema always represents these great, explosive movies. And never has the opportunity to see Latin women make this type of person, because they are exclusively for white women. Now that the opportunities are abiding, it is very difficult for me to pass up the opportunity to represent at the international level in a Latin way in a way that distinguishes us from a stereotype or cliché. I have an affinity with these characters. Maya does not have anything that can be seen with a donut or with a donor. It is a woman with conviction, clear, educated, intelligent … Represent the contemporary woman. To be clear, I can diversify and look for other projects that allow me to open a truck in another type of person. Because some like Demián Bichir have a good time, but a few times it’s more difficult to be female.

P .: Do you have anything you want to collect?

E.g: Latinos siempre nos encasillan. Punto, se acabó. And I believe that Latin women encasillan much more toadavía. To men the day and much more allowed. However, Matthew McConaughey also starred in romantic comedies and the cost of hard work is taken seriously. This is not the case with all carriers of any form. I personally enjoyed the action movies, I still love this type of project. What guides me is direction, freedom, character … so it inspires me. A constant factor in my characters is that the stereotype of a Latin woman is not necessary.

P .: You work a lot in English. Do you know where you are?

E.g: No, no. The English are always going to be my second language and, although it appears that I do not work much. It’s a complex. Innatamente pienso en español y tengo que adato eso al Inglés. Even though it is also related to culture, because of the way in which a Latin reactionary woman is very different from how she is called an American woman. In the hope of the directors that you act more like an American actress, they are embarrassed that they are Mexican, from another culture. A week ago the saber complex was the best option, but it was broken. I am constantly learning and growing.
