(CNN) – The Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced the four that the Department of State will add to the Cuba Bank “Banco Financiero International SA (BFI) in the List of Restricted Persons, although it will be effective to publish its principles in January”.
Pompeo called BFI “a commercial bank controlled by the Cuban military that benefits directly from the financial transactions and expenditures of the Cuban people”.

BFI is one of the largest and most recent Cuban banks to further complicate operations of foreign companies and others that intend to invest and conduct negotiations in Cuba.
