Eagles News: Jalen Hurts projects as top 10 fantasy football quarterback

Let’s go to the Philadelphia Eagles links …

Early 2021 Fantasy Football Quarter Rankings – Sharp Football Analysis
10. Jalen Hurts: Hurts scored 19.3, 37.8, 18.6 and 16.3 points in his four starts last season after the Philadelphia season was a losing affair. His 272 rushing years in the beginning was second place in league history for a quarter behind his first career four times behind Lamar Jackson. Hurts was last in the league in his completion rate (52%), but also last in the expected completion rate (55.5%), according to NFL Next Gen Stats. Despite this, he still led all newcomers out of a clean bag per gate (7.7 J / A) per attempt. If the Eagles connected with Hurts for a season, he would join the high-floor group, aided by the rapid production with the bottom to lower a ceiling, he would improve.

NFL Mock Draft Roundup: 10 Different Options for the Eagles at No. 6 – BGN
The feeling here is that the Eagles can not enter this year’s concept with the idea that they are a quarterback at no. 6 will not matter what. Do not want to see them force it so. If they are completely in love with Fields (or anyone else), QB is a reasonable choice. The overarching goal should be to acquire an elite-level difference maker, almost regardless of position.

The Solak Show 002: If They Drafted Hurts When They Had Wentz … – BGN Radio
In this week’s episode of The Solak Show, Benjamin Solak breaks down the Eagles’ approach while drafting Jalen Hurts into the 2020 NFL draft, and how the approach indicates they will take a quarterback at 6, no matter how internal they feel about Hurts. After the break, he is with Zach Hicks of Stampede Blue (29:15) to discuss Carson Wentz in Indianapolis. How much does Frank Reich have in the building? Which coaches will follow the approach of reviving his career? Are the Colts actually better?

Eagles Posts: 2021 NFL Head Coach Rankings – PhillyVoice
1) Brandon Staley, Chargers: I like Staley as a young up-and-coming coach, but also that the Chargers can actually be good. In the short term, it will be hard not to improve on a 2020 season that started at 3-9. In the long run, Justin Herbert will keep them competitive. … 2) Robert Saleh, Jets: The Jets have been around for a while, and Saleh feels like the right man for the job of getting the most out of a very young roster. … 3) Arthur Smith, Falcons: The Falcons are in a similar situation to the Eagles because they need a bit of breakdown before they can rebuild, but I give Smith a slight edge over Nick Sirianni. … 4) Nick Sirianni, Eagles: The bet here is that the first two seasons will not be pretty, but it looks like Sirianni will have some time to turn things around. An unexpected, decent season in the first and second years would exceed expectations.

Pass Catchers – Iggles Blitz
This receiver class is deep and talented. It is amazing that we see great classes year after year. Shouldn’t we have an excellent chance? The passing game has exploded all over the football world and that means there are more talented receivers than ever before. This makes it especially frustrating that the Eagles cannot build a good receiver corps. I do not know if it’s more concept, coaching or scheme / QB game. The end result is that the Eagles need to change that. You can not win in today’s NFL without good receivers. I don’t think the Eagles need to take a receiver at 6, but they do need to add a talented player. It can be an addition to trade or free agent. Or the Eagles can choose a middle choice. They need to add more talent. They need competition. The current group of recipients does not deserve the right to rely on anything other than a chance.

2021 NFL Season: WR Situations of All 32 Teams Before Free Agency, Draft – NFL.com
As a team, the Eagles had the lowest completion percentage (55.9) and were the least yards per attempt last season (6.2). Specifically, receivers caught only 56.7 percent of the passes thrown to their side, which was the second lowest rate for any team. Philly will have to bring in the right mix of receivers to supplement those taking over at QB1 (whether it’s Jalen Hurts or someone else), following the trade of Carson Wentz, and to possibly compensate for the loss of a very important passer-by. (tight end Zach Ertz, who is a short candidate). In doing so, the Eagles may have to shell out – this is one team that flags my model as the danger of possibly paying too much because they have needs where the expected free agencies are expected to fetch a high price. Meanwhile, they have the sixth overall pick, but that’s probably not quite high enough to get a strong return from teams.

Four of seven new coaches had just one interview in the 2021 cycle – PFT
The list shows that four of them (Campbell, Culley, Meyer and Nick Sirianni) of the seven coaches appointed had only one interview during the entire cycle. Bieniemy was eventually requested by all seven teams; However, it is understood that the Eagles did not actually feed him. All teams except the Texans requested an interview with Saleh – who was one of the candidates recommended by quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Secret Base Reviews: Fan-Controlled Football – SB Nation
On February 13, a new football league came into our lives. This is one of the most creative, interesting ideas I’ve seen in a while: a soccer league where the fans name the plays and make decisions. It may sound good, but does the league make a quality product? For the past two weeks, I’ve been analyzing the play on my twitch channel, and it’s time to get these notes off. Let’s see.
