Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson returns to the small screen using NBC.
The 48-year-old star debuted the trailer for his upcoming biographical TV show, “Young Rock,” on his Instagram Saturday.
Johnson’s new show will be a comedy series that describes three different stages of his life.

“Ladies and gentlemen, here is your first look at @nbcyoungrock,” he wrote to his 212 million Instagram followers. “I really wish my dad was to see this one. Maaaaan he would have been proud.”
Johnson’s famous pro wrestling father, Rocky Johnson, passed away a year ago at the age of 75.
“Every hero has an origin story, but not a complete mustache at age 15,” the narrator of the trailer begins the 40-second clip dramatically. “This is the true life story of The Rock.”

In one part of the trailer, fans can see a teenage Johnson played by Bradley Constant tell a girl his name is Thomas because he thinks it sounds cooler than Dwayne.
Other quick highlights show a pre-teen Johnson (Adrian Groulx) flexing his muscles in the gym with his TV dad (Joseph Lee Anderson) and an adult Johnson (Uli Latukefu) walking through a hallway.

The trailer even shows how the pre-teen Johnson had a penchant for tequila, when the young woman wanted to order a cocktail while he went out to eat with his parents.

Johnson provided additional insight into ‘Young Rock’ in a separate Instagram post.
“Appreciate all your early buzz for our NBC comedy @nbcyoungrock about all the crazy shit that’s been my life over the years,” he wrote. “From growing up in the wild (and penetrating) world of pro wrestling in the early ’80s to being accused of being a 15 year old secret cop because I’ve been £ 6 with a FULL Magnum PI mustache and my own vehicle. “

“Young Rock” airs on NBC on February 16 and will also air on NBC’s streaming service Peacock.
