Drunk dancer tries to move epic ‘Dirty Dancing’, slaps neck

Someone has to put this ‘Baby’ in a corner.

An intoxicated dance teacher redefined ‘breakdancing’ after she landed terribly on her head while trying to create Baby and Johnny’s iconic lift of ‘Dirty Dancing’ with her boyfriend.

“It went just as fast,” Millie Slennett, 25, said of the moment that has since gone viral.

“I did not have a professional career,” Sydney, Australia, told Kennedy News. “We drank a few drinks, but I think it was a little in my system to let me down because I was a little relaxed.”

The bullying boogie started after Millie challenged her sister Rosie, 19, to dance in their family’s garden. They wanted to see who could better repeat the high-flying series from the 1987 film “Dirty Dancing”, in which Johnny of Patrick Swayze tackles Johnny Grey’s Baby above his head, while ’80’ I hit the time of my life ‘.

Millie was confident that she and her boyfriend, 6-foot-long Conner Justin, “had it in their pocket” since she was a dance teacher and her sister was just a fashion designer. According to Millie, her brother’s sister’s attempt was also ‘terrible’.

In the 23-second video her sister shot, things started promisingly with the dance pro making a running jump into Justin’s arms, whereupon he lifts her above his head so she’s parallel to the ground.

“I thought we nailed it,” recalls Millie, who also hosts the podcast of “The Dance Pod,” of her non-triumphant moment in the spotlight.

However, their re-creation goes awry after she tilts over her shoulders and lands on her head, causing her neck and body to bend back tremendously like a folding chair.

“I kept trying to lift my legs higher, and then they came out above my head,” said the choreographer, who was rehearsing various dance series with Justin. “It went from fine to not well within about 0.3 seconds.”

“I’m so happy. It could have been so much worse … I could have died.”

At that point, Rosie stopped filming and her family rushed to see if Millie could still move her limbs.

The improvised stunt woman later reported her to the hospital, where CT scans revealed that she miraculously escaped any damage other than bruises. After reviewing the accident material, doctors were surprised that she could walk at all.

“I know I’m so happy. It could have been so much worse, “said Millie. ‘I could have broken my neck or damaged my spine. I could have died. ”

Instagram viewers were equally excited about how she managed to get out of the stunt unscathed.

“WOW !!!!!! So glad you’re ok, it’s so extreme,” cries one enlightened commentary on the ‘Unbreakable’ saga.

Another one wrote: ‘Omg Millie, my toes curled, my stomach turned over. I close my eyes. Terrifying! ”

Nevertheless, the shocking clip apparently upset Millie’s father so much that he promised to remove it from his phone.

As for the dance routine, Millie said she “does not recommend trying it after a few drinks.”

“Definitely try it first in a pool or something.”
