Druis / flurries mix until the weekend

Most of us had less than 1 “of sludge overnight and it melted quickly this afternoon with temps in the mid to upper thirties and a light breeze. Another round of winter mix has moved into SE Wisconsin for this evening.

The roads will be mainly wet with slippery spots in side streets and driveways as the pace stays around freezing. The best chance of congestion is midnight to 8 a.m., and most of us see 1 “sludge and isolated areas of 2”. Saturday remains cloudy and soft with drizzle and gusts all day with a high of 37. Any snow we get overnight will melt again during the day.

Sunday is cloudy with light snow in the afternoon and heights near freezing. Monday is near normal with a peak in the top 20s and some sun. Tuesday is in the top 20s with gusto. If you were hoping for a nasty January night at Lambeau Field on Saturday, you have no luck. The speeds will be in the lower 30s with gusts and a NW wind at 5-15 km / h.
