Drew Barrymore says ‘Bridgerton’ inspired her to keep using dating apps

Drew Barrymore is one of the legion of fans included in Netflix’s latest hit, “Bridgerton”.

The “50 First Dates” and “Ever After” star invited Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page to her talk show to discuss the period drama.

During their appearance Friday, Barrymore revealed that the 45-year-old’s steamy scenes gave the inspiration to try again at the dating apps.

The revelation comes after television personality Ross Matthews, a superfan of the series, joined the show and thanked Dynevor (25) and Page (31) for making such a beautiful show that is so modern, and it feels right now even though it’s so based. long ago and because we really turn our engines on again if you know what I mean. ‘

The actress, who recently talked about dating apps in her program, said it was a big step back to such a platform.

During a recent episode of the show, the actress “ET the Extra-Terrestrial” revealed that she was raised by a man she met in a dating app.

“I finally booked an appointment with one man, and then he got me up at exactly the time we were supposed to meet,” Barrymore revealed. “I was like, ‘Can’t you be an hour before? It would have been so time-saving.’

She noted that getting up through a match-app match is not ‘shocking’ because it ‘happens all the time’.

Dynevor earlier addressed the sex scenes of the show in an interview with the Daily Star and even revealed that she watched the show with her mother – Sally Dynevor – and her grandparents.

“I had to sit there and move forward quickly with the remote control,” the actress said about the intimate scenes. “We almost got it right.”

During his time at ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’, Page also discussed how his family managed to handle the scenes.
