After his eviction in the Warriors’ defeat to Charlotte Hornets last week, Draymond Green surrounded Friday’s rematch at Chase Center on his calendar.
Green once again blamed himself for the double technical in an interview Wednesday after Golden State’s 111-107 victory over the Indiana Pacers, saying he believes he let the Warriors down.
“For us to go there and essentially achieve that victory [without Steph Curry] and for me to cost the game was bulls, “Green told Bonta Hill, Chris Mullin and Dorell Wright on ‘Warriors Postgame Live.’ ‘I knew I had to come back and play well, and I’m excited for the Charlotte game that’s going on because we gave them one they should not have had. I gave them one they should not have had, so it must go and get it. ‘
Green was not far from a triple-double in one of his first two games after the ejection. He scored seven points, 12 assists and nine rebounds in the Warriors’ win over the New York Knicks on Tuesday, and Green then scored 12 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds in the Pacers victory.
His twelve points are a season high, and this is only the fourth time he has scored in double figures this season. Green’s playing style was closer to what became his usual standard, as he scored at least ten assistants for the tenth time this season.
“If you look around in the NBA, there is not much ball movement, and there is certainly not much player movement off the ball,” Green said of finding open teammates within the Warriors offense. “… I just said to these guys, ‘Keep moving, keep cutting, never stop. The easiest guy to defend is a stationary player, so I’m just telling these guys to keep going. keep moving and they do a wonderful job. ‘

The Warriors improved to 7-3 in games in which Green scored double-assists, and Golden State was 4-0 when the 30-year-old scored at least 10 points.
Green undoubtedly wants to improve the records with a big performance on Friday, and doing so in a win will be a great way to put his ejection behind him.
