It looks like Dragon Age 4 will release BioWare’s rated RPG series Tevinter, a place in the world of Thedas that the studio has never explored.

Some important details about BioWare’s upcoming sequel are in BioWare: stores and secrets from 25 years of game development, a new art book that takes readers on a tour of BioWare’s colorful history.

Eurogamer managed to get hold of the book and clocked one of Dragon Age’s most important entries within its pages confirming that ‘the long-awaited sequel to Dragon Age: Inquisition […] will take players to Tevinter as the events of Inquisition and Trespasser threaten to change Thedas forever. ”

This place was indicated earlier, thanks to the end of Inquisition and the events that take place in the above Trespasser DLC. We will not write out spoilers here, but the narration in the DLC and the storylines revolving around the divisive elf, Solas, point to Tevinter as the next important place in the world.

Eurogamer points out that there may be more places in the game indicated by the book. ‘Artworks of a glittering city surrounded by water show Antiva City, the capital of Antiva, an area bordering the east of Tevinter,’ the site’s Tom Phillips.

“Concept art for an Antivan Crow is also on display; a theatrical killer ‘celebrated for their mastery of stylish killing’ wearing an elaborate mask, carrying a glowing sword and having several real crows. ‘

Dragon Age 4 has been in development for a few years now and was only teased at The Game Awards in 2018 before being properly showcased during Gamescom Opening Night Live in August last year.

EA said they expect Dragon Age 4 to arrive in 2022 or later, so do not get too excited about what you see here.
