Dr. Laura Berman’s 16-year-old son, Samuel, has tragically died of a drug overdose.

The ‘crushed’ relationship therapist announced the heartbreaking news via Instagram, saying that Samuel had an overdose of Xanax with fentanyl.

“My beautiful son is gone. 16 years old. Home shelter. A drug dealer contacted him on Snapchat and gave him fentinyl [sic] Xanax tied up and he overdosed in his room, ”she wrote with a photo of her and her son. “My heart is completely broken and I do not know how to breathe.”

The podcast host “Language of Love” shared her tragedy “so that not one more child dies.” The therapist said her son was a student who was ready for a university.

“Experimentation went badly. He delivered the drugs at home, “she continued. ‘Watch your kids and especially watch SNAPCHAT. This is how they get it. ”

On her Instagram story, Berman again shared a message asking parents to get their teens off Snapchat.

“Our deepest sympathy is with the family and friends of Samuel Berman Chapman and we are saddened by his passing,” a Snap spokesman said in a statement to Page Six on Monday.

‘We are committed to working with law enforcement in this case and in all cases where Snapchat is used for illegal purposes. We have no tolerance for using Snapchat to buy or sell illegal drugs, ” reads the statement, saying that using Snapchat for ‘illegal purposes’ is against the company’s community guidelines.

‘We are constantly improving our technological capabilities to detect drug-related activities so that we can intervene proactively. … We have no higher priority than keeping Snapchat in a safe environment, and we will continue to invest in protecting our community. ‘

Following the news, fans of Berman and Samuel’s classmates overwhelmed her with support.

‘I’m a student at Milken who was in two of Sam’s lessons and can personally say that he was such a king [sic] soul, ”said one friend. “I am just sorry for the loss of you and your family. Sam did not deserve to die so soon. I send my love and prayers. ❤️ May he rest [sic]. ”

“Dr. Laura, my heart is broken in a million pieces for you … I have a 15-year-old son … I’m sooooo sorry,” said one follower.
