Dr. Dre will eventually sleep in his own bed tonight – he was discharged from hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm, but doctors are still keeping a close eye on him.
Sources near Dre tell TMZ … he is home on Friday and while he is on his way to recovery, he still needs attention. We are told that there are medical professionals with him who will monitor him 24/7 for the next few weeks to make sure he is well.
According to our sources, Dre was in ICU at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA until Wednesday, when he was moved to a private room in the hospital. Although he has been released, we are told doctors still do not know what caused the brain haemorrhage – and that is part of the reason for the home care.
We broke the story … Dre aneurysm contracted on January 4 at his Pacific Palisades home and was rushed by ambulance to Cedars.

According to our sources, Dre’s doctors cautiously informed his family that a ‘bad outcome’ did not appear to be on the horizon.
Dre is very happy with this outcome … brain aneurysms lead to death half the time, and for those lucky enough to survive, about 2 out of 3 are with some sort of permanent neurological deficiency.
