The stock ended higher on Monday, with the Dow Jones industrial average closing its first record since January 20 as the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite hit their third straight record. The Dow DJIA,
increased by about 237 points, or 0.8% to close near 31 385, which reached the previous last point of 31 188.38. The S&P 500 SPX,
scored about 29 points, or 0.7%, to close near 3,916, while the Nasdaq advanced about 131 points, or 0.9%, to close near 13,988. Analysts said that the earnings, the continued deployment of the vaccine and the expectations of COVID-19, that Congress would approve another large round of aid spending that should strengthen the economy, and that equities could continue their push to a record high.
