Dow futures fell 252 points, or 0.8%. S&P 500 futures fell 1%, while Nasdaq futures fell 1.2%.
US stocks sharply closed a turbulent week on Friday. The Dow and the S&P 500 recorded their first monthly losses since October. For the week, the two indices as well as the Nasdaq Composite also recorded losses.
The Dow (INDU) closed 2%, or 622 points, lower, while the S&P (INX) ends the day with 1.9%. The Nasdaq (COMP) it fell by 2%.
Quite a few trends have come on the heels of the volatile week: analysts fear that the enormous shortfall in GameStop and other Reddit favorites is starting to curtail liquidity in other parts of the market as investors relax their positions. On top of that, the earnings season is in full swing and investors are taking profits.
