Dow ends about 475 points lower than Nasdaq bounces after worst fall since October

Stocks mostly ended lower Friday and dropped in the last minutes of trading towards the lows of the session. Technically-related stocks bounced after a sudden rise in treasury yields, but still suffered weekly losses. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA,

gave up a modest gain before the close, with a loss of about 18 points, or 0.5%, close to 3,811, leaving it with a weekly drop of 2.5%. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite held on to a gain of about 73 points, or 0.6%, to close near 13,332 on Friday, after having its biggest one-day drop since October in the previous session. The Nasdaq suffered a weekly decline of 4.9%.
