Donovan Mitchell of Jazz says to ‘work’ becomes f – king ridiculous’ after expulsion, loss of overtime

Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell was extremely unhappy with the service after his team’s loss of 131-123 overtime for the Philadelphia 76ers Wednesday night.

Mitchell, a steady candidate for the MVP this season, scored 33 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out six assistants in 42 minutes. He was 12-for-34 from the field and 5-for-12 from the free-throw line, and he was sent off in overtime after expressing his frustrations with officials.

Utah made 24 errors as a team and Philadelphia had 17 errors. Utah was also judged three technical errors in the game.

Mitchell told reporters after the match that he felt the Jazz were being “screwed” and called the “f – king ridiculous” that the team was serving.

“First, you know, give the 76ers credit. They played a hard game. Joel [Embiid] did what he does, and at the end of the day they are a good team. We competed. But it’s hard. “It’s hard to go there and see how we fight and compete, and to have such a game taken from us, ‘he said via ESPN.

“Now, I’m never someone who’s a ref. Giving the blame to an official – I can say I could have done more – but it’s getting out of hand,” he continued. “There were games we won; there were games we lost. But these whole referee pieces … We’re nice, we’re not complaining, as we are not ‘To not get frustrated, we fight through things, and the fact that we are constantly … somehow getting screwed by it. You know? ‘

“We won this game in my personal opinion. You know? But like I said, I’m going to give them credit. They won. Whatever. Cool. But it was a consistent thing, and the question is, ‘ “Can we do it? Can we sustain it? Are we really No. 1? And yes, in hell we are. And it’s ridiculous that this is what’s happening,” he added.

Mitchell certainly deserves a fine for his comments.

He did get backing from Rudy Gobert, who said his team does not get the same calls, adding that he hopes the league feels ‘ashamed’ when they go to look at the service work.
