Trump has struggled to find lawyers willing to address his case because he refuses to deviate from his allegations of election fraud.

Trump’s advisers have spoken to him about his legal strategy and he continues to address election fraud for his defense, while repeatedly trying to distract him from it, according to a source familiar with the discussions.

It is unclear whether Schoen and Castor will go along with what Trump wants.

“Schoen is already working with the 45th president and other advisers to prepare for the upcoming trial, and both Schoen and Castor agree that this accusation is unconstitutional – a fact that 45 senators voted in line with last week,” reads the statement.
