Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge play together in an upcoming Amazon series, based on the 2005 action comedy Mr and Mrs Smith.
Francesca Sloane of Atlanta will serve as showrunner in the series that will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in 2022. Glover and Waller-Bridge (in a voice role) appeared earlier in 2018 Star Wars spinoff Alone together, with the two sharing a cabin like Lando Calrissian and his droid L3-37.
At the BAFTA Awards in 2019, Glover paid tribute to the Fleabag star, who praises the award-winning British series and talks about how they met:
The film from 2005 Mr and Mrs Smith plays Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as a bored couple in the suburbs who do not know they are both hired killers.
