The entrepreneur and social activist, Fernando Mateo, announced his plans for the New York City Alcaldia candidacy for the Republican Party.
Mateo is a community worker reconciled in the decade of the 90’s, when the social program “Armas por Juguetes” was developed, which helped the disarmament of hundreds of people who voluntarily integrated their arms into a cambio of games.
This program is specifically designed for young people and groups of people and drug addicts, as well as in prisons.
The social activist has also been involved in the Directive and Vocational of the New York Taxpayers’ and Bodegueros Associations and has been involved in defending social causes of the Latin community.
In the business area, it has developed bargaining agreements, construction, warehouses, restaurants, among others.
Mateo nation in Santo Domingo in 1958 and emigrated to New York together with his parents when he was ten years old.
