Dolphins, Chris Carson close to trading?

Shortly after addition Will Fuller the Dolphins are apparently in talks to make a big splash in their backfield.

They discuss an agreement Chris Carson, with the Pro Football Network indicating that talks are nearing the drafting of a contractTwitter link). Carson has played four seasons of his career with the Seahawks, and although he was a seventh-round pick, he has Seattle’s starting lineup for most of his rookie contract.

The Dolphins have their own success story in the seventh round, in Myles Gaskin, and made a move to add former Rams contributor Malcolm Brown this week. It will then be interesting to see the team add two veterans to its backfield. It is unclear whether the Seahawks are having substantial talks with Carson. It is believed that they have an offer Leonard Fournettehowever.

Carson has two rushing seasons of 1100 yards in his resume, which put the total together in 2018 and ’19, but that comes from a limited injury in 2020. This will affect his market. But the three-year-old starter in Seattle averaged 4.8 yards per carry last season. The Seahawks have already lost Carlos Hyde and it Rashaad Penny a season in which he barely played due to a knee injury in 2019.
