What’s the quote from the 2014 Godzilla movie? Let them fight.

Legendary / Warner Bros.

Godzilla teen Kong now streaming on HBO Max (here’s how to see it). If you had watched the classic clash of the monsters, you might have wondered why there was no post-credits scene. Director Adam Wingard told SyFy Wire there are two good reasons. Surprisingly, one of them is that viewers have seen the scene before the credits were ever won.

“We actually shot a scene to credit, but eventually we used it in the movie,” Wingard told the publication, though he did not disclose the scene. He further said that it was’ one of the things where we shot it as one idea, and we came to the editorial office and realized ‘we need a moment at a certain point in the film’. [so] finally we took the footage and used it in a different context in the film, and it really worked for us. ‘

The other reason has to do with the unknown future of the movie Monster Verse. Generally, scenes to viewers entice viewers with a hint of an eventual sequel or sequel, and at the moment there are no specific plans for another film in the series. So it’s the right decision not to have a scene after credits, Wingard said.

“I think it’s 100% the right choice,” he said, “because it’s the crossroads for the Monster verses.
