Does Costco offer COVID-19 vaccines? Here’s how to find one in your area

Costco is offering COVID-19 vaccines in the coming days, but there are a number of speed bumps you are likely to slow down to get one.

What is happening?

Costco said it would administer COVID-19 vaccines when available. People can schedule appointments on Costco’s website.

Costco offers COVID-19 vaccines at locations in these five states:

California

New york

Oregon

Puerto Rico

South Carolina

  • South Carolina locations will only appear once they are available. Fox Business reported that Charleston and Mount Pleasant offered vaccinations.

Washington

  • Locations in Washington are not listed on Costco’s website. However, Fox Business reports that the vaccines will be distributed in Clarkston, Kennewick, Wenatchee, Sequim, Tukwila, Silverdale, Bonney Lake, Gig Harbor, Puyallup, Tacoma, Burlington, Everett, Lynnwood, Marysville, Woodinville, Spokane, Lacey, Tumwater, Bellingham and Union Gap. ”

But …

Costco members are not guaranteed to sign up for the COVID-19 vaccine. The company said there are only a limited amount of vaccines available. The distribution follows the guidelines of each state where it can distribute.

What about Utah?

Costco does not distribute the doses of vaccines in Utah. According to the Deseret News, pharmacies Smith and Walmart will offer free vaccinations to Utahns who are eligible for the COVID-19 shots.

Those eligible can make online appointments at 39 different Smith’s pharmacy locations (there are 53 in Utah) and at 18 of Walmart’s 59 pharmacies and the Sam’s Club pharmacy in Logan.
