So it sounds a little worse than it actually is. Today, while the Dodgers were able to conclude contracts with Cody Bellinger, Corey Seager and Julio Urias in arbitration in 2021, they remained separate on terms with ace Walker Buehler and post-season hero Austin Barnes.
JP Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group reported.
In my opinion, the next step will be an arbitration hearing, or an agreement for several years.

As a super two, this is Buehler’s first way of doing arbitration. A super two is defined as players in the top 22 percent of players with at least two but not yet three seasons of service. In Barnes’ case, it’s his second year as an arbitration player, coming out of a $ 1.1 million deal for the 2020 season.
As Hoornstra notes, is an arbitration hearing or a multi-year extension with the Dodgers.
While the number for salary arbitration is slightly more volatile than in the past, thanks to the shortened season of 60 games, according to MLB Trade Rumors, Walker Buehler is expected to earn between $ 2.3 and $ 3.1 million in 2021. Barnes sat in the $ 1.5 million range.
*UPDATE
MLB insider Mark Feinsand reported the Buehler salary numbers.
Walker Buehler submitted $ 4.15 million, while the Dodgers faced $ 3.3 million. Center: $ 3.725 million.

It was especially a soft deadline for teams and players to reach an agreement. LA agreed to go with Cody Bellinger, Corey Seager, Julio Urias and Dylan Floro. Similar to last season, the Dodgers did not reach agreements with every arbitration player. Eventually, however, they worked out multi-year agreements with two (Chris Taylor and Max Muncy) before a possible date for arbitration hearings.

If Buehler and Barnes are unable to reach an agreement with the club in time, each party will face a panel of three in an often awkward battle. Hearings will take place between 1-21 February this year.
