DMX’s family shuts down rumors that its masters have been bought

DMX’s family has issued a statement closing down some rumors that have surfaced since his untimely passing.

On Monday (April 12), music journalist Sowmya Krishnamurthy shared the release on Twitter. “There have been some rumors that our beloved, Earl Simmons, is ‘passing’ what we want to clear up,” the statement said. ‘No one bought Earl’s masters. In addition, we do not sell any merchandise or raise money for Earl’s funeral. If someone asks for money for his funeral, you should note that the person is a fraud. We will keep the public informed about funeral / memorial service arrangements. – Earl ‘DMX’ Simmons’ family. ”

REVOLT reported earlier that Swizz Beatz has denied rumors that JAY-Z and Beyoncé bought X’s masters. Follow the It’s dark and hell is hot emcee’s death, began spreading an article about The Carters’ alleged purchase. The title of the article reads: “JAY-Z & Beyoncé buy back DMX’s masters for $ 10 million and will give to their 17 children for free.” The piece spread across various social media platforms, although there was no real source to confirm the claims.

Swizz simply shuts down the rumors by writing ‘Not True King’, under someone’s Instagram post of the fake article.

Last Friday (April 9), the Ruff Ryders rapper sadly passed away after suffering a heart attack. His family announced the news in a statement, saying he had “fought to the end.”

Tributes started pouring in from all over the world when people visited social media to remember one of the greatest rappers ever. Mike Spano, Mayor of Yonkers, spoke to TMZ over the weekend about a possible memorial that could come in the form of a street name, statue or mural. He also recommends hosting the X’s memorial service at the Yonkers Raceway.
