The divorce documents, filed on behalf of Kim on February 22, cite ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the divorce of the celebrity couple.
However, their date of separation remains TBD in the eyes of the court. The separation date can become a point of contention when assets are divided, but Kim and Kanye have a prenuptial agreement that should settle the matter.

Kim and Kanye decided to go their own way together after nine years
According to Entertainment Tonight, the divorce petition shows that Kim wants joint and legal custody of the couple’s four children.
She also asks that marital support be terminated as an option for both parties in the divorce.
“The split is friendly and there is no drama,” an insider shared with DailyMail.com after the divorce was announced.
Money is not a problem, as Kim is worth nearly $ 800 million thanks to various makeup and beauty products, while Kanye is worth about $ 1.3 billion.
The tension between Kanye and Kim began to increase in July when Kanye decided to elect him president.

During the campaign, an increasingly volatile Kanye Kris Jenner called ‘Kris Jong Un’ and involved an outburst about his wife having to have an abortion earlier in their marriage.
Kanye and Kim started dating in 2012 and got engaged in 2013 before getting married in May 2014 during a lavish ceremony.
The divorce is first for West and third for Kim, who was previously married from 2000 to 2004 to Damon Thomas and Kris Humphries from 2011 to 2013.
In recent months, the children have mostly been seen with Kim in Hidden Hills, California, where the family owns a $ 60 million mansion.
Meanwhile, there is a farm in Cody, Wyoming, where Kanye was staying while the former couple is splitting property.
Kim apparently stopped wearing her wedding band in November. She and Kanye went to marriage counseling to try to work things out, but in the end it was not enough to prevent a divorce.
The two have had little contact since October when they quarreled during her fortieth birthday party held at The Brando resort in Polynesia.

Kim is represented by attorney Laura Wasser of the divorces.
The Sunday Mirror reported that the final season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians is likely to document the divorce.
It could also be part of a new Hulu series with the Kardashian family.
