District Health Department 10 says there was confusion about how long people should be in quarantine due to the platform used for contact detection.

On April 5, the state changed quarantine lead from 10 days back to 14 days.

However, Trace-Force, the contact tracking platform, only updated their system on April 15 after the 14-day quarantine rule.

For ten days, Trace-Force sent out letters telling people that they should only be in quarantine for ten days instead of the CDC recommendation of 14.

District Health Department 10 says that if you were identified as or close contact on April 5, you should be quarantined for 14 days, even if you received a letter from Trace-Force.

The health department says schools and businesses need to follow the new guidance.

They also say that proof of antibodies or a negative coronavirus test will not reduce or terminate quarantine.

The only way close quarantine contacts can be excluded is if someone has contracted the virus within the last 90 days or been vaccinated for at least two weeks before being exposed.
