The Walt Disney World Resort has just announced that Disney Magical Express transportation from Orlando International Airport (MCO) will be discontinued from January 1, 2022.
There is no FREE replacement option for guests of Disney Resort hotels. Of course, paid options such as Uber, Lyft, private car service, etc. Whether renting your own vehicle after the end of this year will be the options. It’s important to note that Disney’s Magical Express will remain intact until the end of 2021.
When Disney Resort hotel bookings are open for stays in 2022, we will no longer offer Disney’s Magical Express airport shuttle service, starting on January 1, 2022. We will continue the service for new and existing bookings. at Disney Resort hotels was made for arrivals throughout 2021.
In addition, Disney has announced that Extra Magic Hours will also disappear and be replaced by Early Theme Park Entry.
We know how many guests enjoy extra parking time, so later this year as part of our 50th anniversary celebration, Disney Resort hotel guests and guests from other select hotels will have more fun with 30 minutes early access to ANY amusement park, Every Day. This will be a great way to get started on Disney Day, whatever the day! As a reminder that the Extra Magic Hours benefit was suspended when Walt Disney World Resort reopened last summer, and because we are constantly managing health and safety attendance, Extra Magic Hours will not return. The new theme park early entry benefit helps us better distribute visitors across all four theme parks, while providing extra flexibility by giving guests extra early parking on each day of their holiday and in the park of their choice. Please note that guests need valid access and must make a park reservation via the Disney Park Pass system to enter a theme park.
