Interruptor Downdetector reported that some users were experiencing technical difficulties shortly after midnight Pacific Time.
Disney + experienced technical issues for some users in the early hours of Friday morning as people rushed to the latest episode of Marvel’s WandaVision.
The Disruption Detection website, Downdetector, reported a huge increase in user issues with Disney +, rising from zero reported issues to more than 8,000, just after midnight when the new episode dropped. Downdetector reported that most interruptions occurred on the West Coast, with clusters around Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.
At the same time, there were thousands of tweets about the Disney + interruption and the inability to watch episode seven of WandaVision.
The technical issues occurred briefly, and many of the users reported issues with Downdetector, giving updates that they were able to stream the program again ten to fifteen minutes later.
The Hollywood Reporter contacted Disney for comment on the reports of technical issues.
