Disney made some big changes to the summer movie on Tuesday.

The studio has announced that “Cruella” and “Black Widow” will be released in cinemas and will depart directly for Disney + at Disney + with the best entry and its Pixar movie “Luca”.

“Today’s announcement reflects our focus on providing consumer choices and serving the evolving preferences of audiences,” said Kareem Daniel, president of Disney’s distribution of media and entertainment.

“Using a flexible distribution strategy in a dynamic market beginning to recover from the global pandemic, we will continue to use the best options to deliver The Walt Disney Company’s unparalleled storytelling to fans and families around the world, he said.

With the shift of its release strategy, “Cruella” debuts as planned on May 28 and “Black Widow”, originally set for May 7, now debuts on July 9. Both titles are also available at Disney + for an additional $ 30 rental fee.
