Dishonored Co-Creator is working on a new Arkane game with Dishonored and Prey developers

Dishonored co-creator Harvey Smith is working on an unannounced new game at Arkane Austin, featuring devs from the Dishonored and Prey teams. Smith explained to Vandal (and translated by IGN) that he’s back to Austin after completing Dishonored 2 at Arkane’s Lyon studio, confirming that he’s not part of the company’s next game, but a separate one. unannounced project: “I’m not on Deathloop, I’m working on something else and working with the guys who made Dishonored and Prey.”

Smith does not elaborate on what the project may be or how far it may be. It’s possible that this may be a new Dishonored game, but we already know that each sequel to the most beloved immersive sim series will feature new characters, after the Death of the Outsider ‘expandalone’ marked the end of the series as we know it.

Whatever the game becomes, it will be part of the new era of Microsoft-owned Bethesda games, which means it will almost certainly start in Game Pass and may even be an Xbox-exclusive game.

Vandal asked Smith if the forthcoming protest had changed anything at Arkane, and he replied that so far there had been no difference. He added that of all the possible partners for Bethesda, he would find it difficult to think of a better one than Microsoft, and concluded: “They fit perfectly.”

Before we see the game from Smith, however, there is the matter of the extremely exciting Deathloop, which arrives on May 21 for PS5 and PC. We mention the FPS over time as one of the biggest games to come in 2021, not least its intriguing game unveiled last year.
