Did we see an unannounced King of Fighters 15 character over 2 years ago?

The King of Fighters 15 is for many in the community the most anticipated fighting game of the year, but we still do not know much about it – as to where we will be able to play it.

However, the chances are high that we already know more than what has been shown in the recent trailers, at least as far as one unannounced character is concerned. Potential destroyers ahead for future roster revealed.

After Tomohiro Nakata was recently announced as character designer and chief illustrator for KOF15, some fans referred back to an older SNK employee page for the artist containing an interesting image.

Nakata seems to be working on a fairly detailed portrait of the giant wrestler Raiden, and what’s interesting is that the image has apparently not been used since its creation more than two years ago.

This led some fans at the time to theorize that it could be concept art for King of Fighters 15, which seems more likely now that it will not reappear during that period.

Raiden is much more of a Fatal Fury character than a KOF character, but he last appeared with Hwa Jai in KOF13 in Kim’s team.

Nakata worked on art for the mobile game King of Fighters All Star, but as far as we can see, Raiden did not show up there either.

It may seem strange that SNK would show off a KOF15 asset years before its debut, although it would certainly not be the first time a developer would show parts of games early on by taking photos or videos of employees’ desks, either intentionally or accidentally.

That said, however, there is also the high probability that it could have been created for an obscure promotional poster or something like that, although it is impossible to say for sure.

No other relevant information can be found on Nakata’s page regarding the image.

We can not determine exactly when the page was posted, but the earliest people can talk about it and the Raiden portrait is January 2019, it is only a month after it was confirmed that KOF15 was developed for investors.

Currently, only Kyo, Shun’ei, K ‘, Leona, Benimaru and Mai have been confirmed for KOF15, although SNK is currently planning some kind of weekly unveiling.

It will certainly be interesting to see the semi-retired wrestler return in 3D model form, but I wonder if he would kick Gang-il off the team to rejoin Kim and if he would work with a new crew .
