A new rumor has emerged that could give us an idea of the future addition to PlayStation Plus. While this is by no means a guarantee that this title is on its way to PS Plus, it looks like it may be made available at least for free in the future.
In a new cryptic tweet from Nick Baker on Twitter, Activision and FromSoftware’s 2019 release of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice sounds like it may soon be available for free to some users. Although Baker did not offer many details, he did encourage those interested in picking up Sekiro to maybe like to buy the game “in the next few months or so.” Clearly, he apparently has some sort of insider information about the prospect of the title being made available for free.

The reason this may be a tease associated with PlayStation Plus is because Baker had previously provided credible information about games en route to Sony’s service. Before it was formally announced by PlayStation, Baker was one of the first to suggest that Final Fantasy VII Remake would be one of the free games joining PS Plus for March. As such, it would not be surprising if he also takes a look at what may also come to the service in the coming months.
It is said, Baker can tease here too Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice might rather come to Xbox Game Pass. Baker’s background is actually more involved with the Xbox brand, as he hosts a podcast and helps run a website dedicated to the platform. Keeping this in mind, it’s hard to tell which location is which Sekiro it may come, but it looks like it could be made available for free at some point in 2021. However, usually always take it with a grain of salt until we can hear more later. .
