The regulatory authorities of the United States are arranging the paralysis of the production of Johnson & Johnson antiviral vaccine in a factory, where 15 million doses of the drug were presumably given.
The pharmaceutical giant told AFP in March that it had identified a dose lot on a plant in Baltimore administered by Emergent BioSolutions “which did not comply with the quality standards”, but did not confirm the specific figure affected.
The New York Times series contains 15 million doses.
Emergent BioSolutions said in a document that the Food and Drug Administration of the United States (FDA) had solicited on April 16 the production of the vaccine of a single dose of J&J on its Baltimore plant while performing an inspection el lugar.
“On April 16, 2021, an FDA request, Emergency Accent, did not initiate the manufacture of any new material in Bayview’s installation and to discontinue the material produced at Bayview until the inspection is complete,” indicates the document.
Johnson & Johnson said in March that it was establishing more experts in the field to monitor vaccine production, and that it hopes to produce 24 million additional doses in April.
The plant of Emergent BioSolutions does not have authorized authorizations by the authorities to produce ingredients for the J&J vaccine, the pharmaceutical company, but the state media reports that it hopes to produce dozens of doses in the near future.
The J&J vacuum cleaner is used to deliver a single dose and because it does not need to be kept at low temperatures, unlike the Moderna and Pfizer systems, which facilitate its distribution enormously.
The pause in production is the last obstacle that enacts this vacancy in United States, lie that the regulators temporarily suspended their use of the thrombosis hall in six women, one of the failing cults, two weeks after Jabs & Joc.
