Detective Conan’s Airport Announced for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Japan takes its pop culture seriously, so you should not be surprised to see an airport named after a popular manga character, and the airport comes after Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Tottori Airport, also known as the Tottori Sand Dunes Conan Airport, owes its name to Tottori’s famous and beautiful sand dunes and the equally popular detective Conan manga and anime.

The association with the pint size and beloved junior detective comes from the fact that its creator, mangaka Gosho Aoyama, was born in Tottori.

The airport itself is full of footage and trademarks of Detective Conan, and it even offers a dedicated store with lots of merchandise.

As you can see in the photo above (thanks to local media TottoriNoto), Conan himself also appears in front of the main terminal, with his name written in red inside the airport logo.

As mentioned above, third party developer Gate15Scenery is creating the airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

At the moment we do not know when the release will take place, but you can see an early image below.

It is definitely ideal for those who would like to fly in Japan, as the Chugoku region of Tottori is particularly beautiful and after the first world update, not much was released from the local area.
