Destiny 2
Bungie
It’s just over a week until Destiny 2’s Season of the Hunt comes to an end. This season is a little different from previous seasons, as Bungie now wants to reduce ‘FOMO’, the fear of missing out, by having many seasonal items carried over the year. In this case, it includes things like Wrathborn Hunts, so no hurry to farm with those weapons, and storylines like the Crow / Hawkmoon quest, including the new secret quest, Harbinger, which does not disappear.
And yet, a few things is away, and I wanted to make a brief post outlining what exactly you need to remember before the season ends on February 9th.
1. Turn in crucible vials
Bungie made this very clear with both in-game and out-of-game announcements. Crucible vouchers will disappear, and you must hand them all in to Shaxx, whether you have 200 or 20,000, before the season ends, otherwise you will lose them and all the equipment / materials you can change. It’s not a very fun process, but it’s just a waste if you do not do it for the shards, cores and occasionally a good role (very, very occasionally). Gambit changes to the same system as Crucible, but that mode never had any signs in the first place. The Vanguard shall finally change in this system, but not this coming season, so no, you do not has to submit your Vanguard tokens now. Nor weapons parts at Banshee, as I’ve heard some people ask for it.

2. Claim high-season armor
If you paid for the season, do not forget to take care of your 60+ stat-set Wild Hunt armor that is between levels 37 and 57, which I assume you have achieved at this point. I usually forget it until the last minute because I already use armor from previous seasons, but it’s always a solid set that has the highest current sunset, so you do not want to miss it. There are two other, lower stats sets you can get for both materials, or it will drop down the level if you have to fill the gap for a power upgrade.

Spend all the vaulted destination material you can
I think people have forgotten that, but according to Bungie, this is the last season where good for vaulted destination material will be on sale. As such, you should be on your way to Spider or Banshee to buy everything for material from Titan, Io, Mercury or Mars, as this is going to be useless. As you can see, I did not do the perfect job above, but I tried to be aware of myself this season. It’s RNG for what you can buy on a given day, so you may not be able to do it on time, but it’s worth giving.

4. Buy Drifter’s God Roll Rocket Launcher
Sure, he’ll have it next season, but you never know. With the Rocket Launcher buff, a 1360 power cap Bad Omens with detection and cluster bombs can be useful, and it’s something you can pick up without having to blow through low RNG farming.

5. Indicate all completed weekly rewards
If you’re like me, you’re probably saving a lot of premiums to get early, easy levels when next season starts, but this time, with Weekly Bounties disappearing next season, you can not save it. Bungie has warned players to hand it in before the season ends, otherwise you will lose any rewards from it. There’s no point in keeping them this time.
These are the most important things I can think of for now. If anything else comes up to me, I will add it later.
