Monte carlo
Monte carlo is an older exotic car rifle from the original Destiny, revived in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. Its primary exotic benefit is Monte Carlo Method, which reduces the cooling of your melee ability when you inflict damage on Monte Carlo, and offers the chance to restore a nearby ability on a Monte Carlo murder. Monte Carlo’s secondary advantage is the Markov necklace, which increases the rifle’s damage after primary fire or melee. Markov Chain also provided ammunition for a melee murder.
Monte Carlo was originally a beloved car rifle Destiny, and it’s even better in Destiny 2. The gun offers some serious aids for buildings with a melee, and it feels great to shoot. Like most exotic primaries, this is not the kind of weapon you want to take with you to a new raid. But wandering through the universe, breaking space robots and hitting space rhinos is the perfect companion.
Pre-EE5
Pre-EE5 is a recurring exotic out Destiny. Its intrinsic advantage is Rapid Cooldown. If you run, you will quickly recharge evasive, melee and grenade energy. Dodging will also increase your sprint speed.
Fr0st-EE5 has a fun benefit design that introduces itself in a neat way. The real usability of the benefit, however, is a very different question. Hunters have so many good exotics that, even if the generation of Fr0st-EE5 was incredible. These boots have found strange love when farming with Nightfall weapons or using content quickly. If you’re a Hunter chief and have not yet, consider grabbing them at Xur.
Xur’s role this week contains 62 total stats.
Antaeus Ward
Antaeus Ward is an exotic from the Desolate expansion. Its main advantage is Reflective vents. As you slide, Antaeus Wards sticks out a shield in front of you. Any projectiles hitting the shield reflect back on their owner. Each bend gives you super energy. These boots are powerful in the right situation, but recent nerfs keep them at their best average.
Xur’s role this week has 59 total stats.
Vesper of the Radius
The Vesper of Radius is a Warlock bust of Curse of Osiris. His exotic fringe benefit, Planetary current, causes a shock wave to explode from you when you place your Rift. Your Rift also loads much faster when you are surrounded by enemies.
This all sounds pretty cool, but unfortunately Vesper or Radius is overshadowed by so many other Warlock Exotics that it’s very difficult to see a situation where Vesper or Radius is your best bust. Skip it unless you are a collector.
Xur’s role this week contains 63 total stats.
