Destiny 2: Season of the Chosen gets new exotic bow, exotic armor

Destiny 2Season of the Chosen is finally here, and Guardians can adventure through the world of Destiny to pick up powerful new gears. In addition to some legendary weapons and armor, Season of the Chosen adds at least five new exotics – though one is still hidden.

Here’s a look at the four exotic articles already in Season of the Chosen, and everything we know about the fifth.

Ticuu’s divination

Ticuu’s Divination is the new Season Pass weapon in Season of the Chosen.

Its primary exotic benefit is Sacred Flame. When guardians fire arrows from the hip, they become tracking missiles that establish themselves in enemies. When an enemy dies with these sacred flames inside, they explode and ignite other sacred flames nearby.

Players can also explode the arrows by hand with the benefit of the cause arrows. If they bounce on the target, players can explode any arrows they hit and cause a chain reaction. If players perfectly determine the draw on their arrows, the explosion of the Holy Flame is even more powerful.

Cuirass of the Falling Star

Cuirass of the Falling Star for Titans is the long-awaited Thundercrash Exotic. Its primary benefit, Glorious Charge, “significantly” increases the impact damage from Thundercrash. Players will also get an overscreen, and they can extend its duration by traveling further with their Thundercrash.

We will not know how good it is before we can get our hands on it, but it sounds like it’s the Heavenly Nightingale, but according to the Titan’s Code of the Missile.

Omnioculus

Omnioculus for Hunters looks like a powerful tool for difficult content, like Grandmaster Nightfalls. Its benefit, Beyond the Veil, gives Void Hunters a second smoke bomb charge and reduces damage that is invisible. This damage resistance also extends to allies when made invisible. Hunters also add a little extra energy when our allies become invisible.

This Warlock Exotic also looks like a powerful tool for Grandmaster Nightfalls. Its advantage, Absorption Cells, causes killing with weapons that have a matching element for your subclass to provide Super Energy. If you’re Super full, this kill would rather give you bonus damage for the given element.

It’s possibly a powerful tool for Solar Warlocks in difficult content like raids and Nightfalls – as Well of Radiance Warlocks tend to hold their Supers until needed.

Tex Mechanica Exotic quest

On the Season of the Chosen website, Bungie teased players with a “redacted” Exotic quest entry under the gear section. The search also does not appear on Season of the Chosen’s road map.

The search icon shows what the Tex Mechanica logo looks like – the weapon maker behind The Chaperone, Last Word and Huckleberry. It also looks like there is Stasis around the logo.

We do not know what this weapon is or when it will appear. But because Bungie does not even give us a name, there is reason to believe that it is a gun we’ve heard of. This and the Tex Mechanica connection make some speculate that it’s The First Curse, a powerful PvP handgun from the original Destiny. Although the information from a Destiny data miner indicates that this is a brand new weapon.

Players will have to wait to see what this weapon is, but the press images of the Bungie connect an abandoned ship in space with the upcoming exotic quest.
