Destiny 2 Players worried about Bungie’s plans for PC and Console Crossplay

Bungie left members of the Destiny 2 community concerned after making changes to the game in public before the full crossplay was added later this year, possibly indicating that it would merge mouse and keyboard and controller players into matchmaking . , writes senior community manager dmg04: “This season we are making some purposeful changes to weapon archetypes that need love, as well as to begin preparations for crossbreeding.”

The biggest change involves increasing the recoil on certain weapon types for mouse and keyboard players only, bringing the recoil level closer to the same weapons when used on the controller.

While this may seem like a relatively small change, the mention that the move led to crossword puzzles made members of the community wonder if it means Destiny 2 PvP standard will match a mixed pool of PC and console gamers, or even as the only option.

It plays into long-standing problems for players on platforms, with mouse and keyboard play offering an innate advantage, especially with shooters (though Destiny 2’s heavy aiming for control players complicates the theory a bit in this case). Fraud is also usually more common on computer versions of games. Many current crossplay games offer players, using controllers, the choice to play only with other controller players, but Bungie has not yet specified Destiny 2’s approach.
