Destiny 2 does not require the same large groups as a traditional MMO does. In most content, players will face challenges as Fireteams of three to six Guardians. But over the weekend, players discovered a wild new bug that made the attacks of 12 players possible Destiny 2. This is double the Guardians and the double chaos. These tricks work for raids, as well as dungeons and nightfalls.
The error is relatively easy to explain, but it requires precise timing to execute it. There are two Fireteams: Fireteam A and Fireteam B. Fireteam leader A must choose the raid or activity that everyone wants to do, while Fireteam leader B must open the menu to join Fireteam leader A (without actually joining close).
Once the leaders are in position, players can participate in both Fireteams until each has six players. Fireteam A must then start the activity. When the countdown is at two seconds, Fireteam B must join Fireteam A and select the option to take their players with them. After a short hiccup at zero seconds, both Fireteam A and B will start loading the activity, and they will all spawn together at the checkpoint.
This bug, of course, degenerates the most difficult content of Destiny. Forests melt like butter when 12 players hit them with The Lament of Anarchy, and Guardians absolutely wipe out everything in their path. The game maintains surprisingly well that many players – as you can see in the video above – seem to be very fond of Guardians using the problem to hang out with larger groups of friends.
Despite the fun, it’s obviously a problem. Bungie is aware of the problem – which we brutal tweet from Bungie’s senior community manager, dmg04 – and will probably fix it soon. However, the studio currently has its hands full with another major flaw, which forced the developer to do so eliminate Trials of Osiris this weekend.
But until Bungie fixes the 12-player error, there is nothing to stop players from venturing through Deep Stone Crypt with double the Guardians.
