Destiny 2 adds a Buster Sword ornament to Izanagi’s Burden

The Izanagi’s Burden is already one of the strangest exotic in Destiny 2. It’s a sniper rifle that looks like a cross between a sword and a spiral. But with Season of the Chosen, Bungie adds an exotic ornament that transforms Izanagi’s Burden into Cloud’s Strife’s infamous Buster sword. Final Fantasy 7 – or at least something similar.

Bungie has done some silly things like this in the past. We got emotions that made Guardians melt Dragon Ball Z, and a miniature Sparrow that looks more like a Scooty Puff Jr. of Futurama as a Guardian’s space motorcycle. But the Buster sword Izanagi’s Burden (called the Worldshaper Ornament) made me cry and laugh the first time I saw it.

In the image above you can see that the barrel has been replaced with a dark gray broad word. The scope sits just above a chain that connects the blade to the charge, which fits perfectly Final fantasy‘s unique zipper / chain fashion. It does not quite have the Buster Sword’s box cut shape, but the chain makes a pretty clear tribute to me.

The Izanagi’s Burden is a powerful sniper with which Guardians can hawk four bullets into one excessive super bullet. It is commonly used in some Destiny 2‘s most difficult activities. But now Guardians can equip the new Buster Sword skin to make this already alien gun even stranger.

It reigns supreme, and at the same time it’s one of the funniest and coolest exotic ornaments Bungie has ever made for a weapon. It’s currently in the Eververse store for real money Silver. It offers players 700 Silver or about $ 6.99 in cash for real people. But it is possible that Bungie may sell the ornament for the game’s freemium currency, Bright Dust, later this season.
