Deputies approve modification of Compresses and Contracts to acquire vacancies against Covid-19

The Chamber of Deputies declared a declaration of urgency and approved in six consecutive sessions the amendment of the Law 340-06, on the Sale and Contraction of Goods, Services and Work, and that the measure does not precede the purchase of the vacancy to prevent the Covid-19 .

Alfredo Pachecho, President of the Chamber of Deputies, indicates that the modification of the article of the Law of Compensation and Public Contracts, procedure of the Executive Power, will be applied only to the purchase of vacancies to prevent the Covid-19.

The amendment was submitted by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, who was accompanied by the Minister of Public Health, Plutarco Arias and Carlos Pimentel, Director of Public Works and Contracts.

The deputies at this March session will also declare an emergency and approve amendments to two consecutive sessions of the Ley No.46-20 project, dated 19 February 2020, on transparency and patrimonial revaluation.

The legislative power of the authority of Senator Faride Raful, was released for reading and to go to commission.

Pacheco informed the homeowner that the initiative was studied by an Ad Hoc commission and that some modifications to the original project.
