The Hamilton County Department of Health received additional shipments of the COVID-19 vaccine and added days to the appointment system.
The new first dose vaccinations will be on the Tennessee Riverpark Hubert Fry Center, 4301 Amnicola Highway. Enter the Riverpark near the entrance to Chattanooga State; do not enter Chattanooga State.
Look for signs.
This is for individuals with Phase 1a1 or 1a2 status who live or work in residents of Hamilton County and Hamilton County, 75 years or older.
It will be Tuesday as well as January 24, 25, 26, 27, 30, 31 and 7.

Proof of compliance with the criteria or the period of stay must be shown at the entrance. Proof of suitability can be a document containing the current address, job ID, badge, letter or email of your employer, or a pay stick. Must provide proof that you live or work in Hamilton County.
New two-dose vaccination days have also been announced.
It will be at the Carta Bus Barn, 1617 Wilcox Blvd. Go through the last gate on the corner of Scholar Avenue and Camden Street.
This is for individuals with Phase 1a1 or 1a2 status who live or work in residents of Hamilton County and Hamilton County, 75 years or older. This is for those who received the first dose of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on 4, 5 or 6 January.
It will be February 1, 2 and 4.

Due to the high call volume, callers may experience a busy signal and should continue to call back. After the appointments are filled, the caller hears a recording: “The call center is closed and the appointments are filled.”
Vaccine distribution is led by ‘phases’ according to the Tennessee vaccination plan. Only those who are eligible in the current “phases” can make an appointment. The current phases are 1a1, 1a2 (see below), and those who are 75 years or older, and all must be a resident of Hamilton County or work in Hamilton County.
Phase 1a1 groups:
· Hospital / independent emergency service personnel with direct exposure to patients and / or exposure to potentially infectious materials
· Home health care staff
· COVID-19 staff for mass test sites
· Student Health Providers
· Staff and residents of long-term care facilities
· (Skilled nursing facilities, assistance centers, homes for the elderly, DIDD housing centers, group homes)
· First responders with direct public exposure
· Individuals> 18 years of age who are unable to live independently due to a serious chronic medical condition or intellectual or developmental disability
Phase 1a2 groups:
Other healthcare professionals with direct exposure to patients
· Providers and staff of primary care
· Outpatients specialty providers and staff working with acute patients
· Pharmacists and staff
· Patient transport
· Outpatient therapists
· Urgent visitor centers and staff
· Environmental Services
· Oral Health Providers
· Behavioral Health Providers
· Outpatient laboratory staff working with COVID-19 samples
· Funeral / mortuary workers with direct contact with the pastor
Age group bracket:
· 75 years or older, must be a Hamilton County resident
· No specific medical conditions are required
Note: if you are registering for an appointment and are not in any of the current stages or age groups, you may be rejected until your level can be vaccinated. Furthermore, it can cause someone to miss their chance and jeopardize the limited vaccine supply.
Steps to plan your appointment
· The online appointment system is available 24/7 and will be open until all available appointments are filled.
· The call center will be open on Sunday from 09:00 to 14:00 or until all available appointments have been filled. The call center was closed on Monday, January 18 for the sake of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Important things you need to know before the appointment
· Do not arrive more than 15 minutes before your appointment.
· Wear appropriate clothing to get a shot in the upper arm
· Bring proof of Hamilton County accommodation (if applicable)
· Bring proof of service from Hamilton County (if applicable)
· Bring proof of age (if applicable)
· Bring COVID-19 vaccine form (if possible; form available for download on registration page)
· Be prepared to wait 20 minutes for a shot
· Be prepared that the whole process will take an hour or more
When patients receive their first dose at the Department of Health, they receive a vaccination card card with the following important information. Hold this card and bring it to the second dose appointment.
• The vaccine manufacturer (Moderna or Pfizer)
• The date on which the first dose of vaccine was given
• The date on which the second vaccine dose should be
