Denver Broncos Agree with Kyle Fuller, The Corner

According to Tom Pelissero, NFL Network, the Denver Broncos have agreed to sign former Chicago Bears Pro Bowl cornerback Kyle Fuller for a $ 9.5 million one-year deal.

Fuller reunites with Vic Fangio, head coach of the Broncos, who was the Bears Defensive Coordinator a few years ago, and Ed Donatell, who was also the Bears’ secondary coach.

He is a 5-11, 194-pound cornerback who has played all seven of his NFL seasons with the Chicago Bears. During the seven seasons, Fuller scored 377 tackles, 82 passes and 19 assists. Last season, Fuller produced 62 tackles, 8 departures and 1 interception.

The addition of Fuller, who is a legal number one cornerback, and who recently combined him, signed Ronald Darby on the outside with Bryce Callahan concentrating more on the groove, could give the Broncos a damn good secondary in 2021 . Pro Bowler Bradley Chubb and the Broncos could easily have a top-five defense under Vic Fangio.

Just look at the percentage of passes that Fuller allowed during that time in the NFL. Last season for the Bears, he allowed 53.7% of his targets to be completed and his career average is 52.3%. He also allowed only three or more touchdowns once in his career, and that was his rookie season when he allowed 4 touchdown passes. He was therefore a damn good corner and is an excellent addition to the Broncos secondary series.

This addition now makes the Broncos’ 9th overall pick very interesting. Before the start of the free agency, Patrick Surtain or Caleb Farley joked with the Broncos. With Fuller and Darby signing during the opening of the free agency, it now lowers the chances that the Broncos spin will turn in the first round of the draft.
