Democratic update of extramural ‘Fixes’ – then traces back on external changes

Outdoors has been quite popular since the demo for the game released late last month. People Can Fly updated the demo by pushing out a few changes, one of which included a controversial outbound change that the community was not so happy with.

The changes to outer drops revolved around epic and legendary items received from coffins. A short list of the original changes is below:

Changes to outer drops

  • Epic items will no longer appear in stores and vendors (within the demo).
  • Chests will no longer drop legendary items.
  • Additional rewards (at repetitions) will now have the chance to drop legendary items.

According to the developers, a Lootcave, where players could obtain three coffins and exploit a shop, concluded that it was “not in the spirit of the game”. Instead, the team decided that they would push legendary and epic outdoor farming parties to receive these items upon completion of his quest.

On March 6dehowever, a small backlash occurred when People Can Fly posted an amendment saying that the Gauss Boss Chest continues to drop legendary items due to community feedback as they meet it as a boss. While this particular breast will drop legendary bags, the other breast still will not. It was also mentioned that many of the changes in the demo patch are for the demo only, and that players are likely to see these things change later.
