Delta Airlines is tackling passengers who have been seen harassing Republican senators Mitt Romney and Lindsey Graham, as part of a wider range of restrictions.

Delta CEO Ed Bastian confirmed on Thursday that the passengers will be banned as part of an increase in security measures following last week’s violent demonstration at the US Capitol. In separate viral videos, Delta passengers were seen harassing both senators for speaking out against President Trump.

According to ‘Reuters’, Delta’s decision was part of a broader suppression of safety, replacing 880 people on the’ no-fly list ” because they were not wearing masks’ or ‘illegal behavior with regard to the election’.

However, some passengers claim they were kicked out of a Delta flight because they only supported President Trump. According to reports, one man said he was forced off the plane because he said ‘Trump 2020’.

Meanwhile, Delta said it prohibits most passengers from reporting firearms on flights en route to Washington DC, but some authorized persons, such as law enforcement, will be allowed to check in firearms.

“One thing we are going to do – is that we will not allow anyone to investigate a firearm at any of the Metro DC airports from the weekend and work through it next week,” Bastian said. “Unless you are law enforcement and authorized to wear one.”

The CEO of Delta also noted that authorities are ready and still keeping in touch with local and federal information agencies. Meanwhile, American Airlines is also maintaining new restrictions in response to the national unrest.

According to American Airlines, until January 21, they will not be serving alcoholic beverages on flights to and from airports near DC. This decision comes because thousands of national guards are stationed in the country’s capital to support law enforcement. They plan to stifle any attempts at violence ahead of the inauguration ceremony.
