Dell’s new game monitors support variable refresh rates for consoles, not just computers

Dell has announced four game monitors, three of which are curved, which will be released in the US between the end of May and the end of June. Unfortunately, it does not yet share prices for them, but the company says that everyone supports AMD FreeSync Premium or Premium Pro, as well as VRR (Variable Refres Rate). VRR should fit them as well for consoles as the Xbox Series X and PS5 (although the latter console has not yet received its promised VRR update). This feature limits the tearing of the screen as the frame rate adjusts due to hits or gain in performance.

The company has a new 34-inch ultra-growth, curved game monitor (pictured above, model S3422DWG) with an 1800R curve, which will not envelop your peripheral vision as much as Samsung’s extra curved 1000R Odyssey G9 monitor. This model will first be released on May 7 in China, then on May 27 in North America and finally on June 22 in Asia Pacific regions. It has a WQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution, VA screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz. Dell mentions that it has DisplayHDR 400, but that’s not the specification you should be looking for to provide a bright, vibrant HDR image. This one supports 90 percent of the DCI-P3 color range.

Dell 32-inch Curved Game Monitor

Here’s a 32-inch curved screen that Dell will release on June 22nd.

Dell is also making a 32-inch curved QHD game monitor (model S3222DGM) with a VA panel with a refresh rate of 165Hz and a response time of 2 ms. It makes a 27-inch version (model S2722DGM) with the same specifications, except that on 1500R it is slightly more curved than the 1800R 32-inch model. Both will be released in China on May 7 and availability will open worldwide on June 22.

Dell Game Monitor

Dell’s 24.5-inch monitor looks like a great choice, but we do not know what the price is.

It may look like the last picture above, but the fourth monitor announced today may appeal especially to people who have an Nvidia graphics card. It is a non-curved 24.5-inch FHD game monitor (model S2522HG) with an IPS panel with G-Sync compatibility, in addition to FreeSync Premium. It has a 240Hz refresh rate and a response time of 1 ms. This one will be released on May 7 in China and available on May 27 in other regions.

As usual, each of Dell’s new monitors has standards that provide a complete range of motion, including height, rotation, rotation, and tilt settings.
