Arkane Studios and Bethesda Softworks have released a new trailer for the PlayStation 5 exclusive Deathloop during Sony’s State of Play online event Thursday.
The trailer is heavy on the game action, set to a James Bond style song by Sencit, feat. FJØRA. Free range rifle / knife fight supported by bizarre forces is only part of the picture Deathloop sacrifice; players can go through any of the levels of the game in any order they want, but the general idea is to figure out how to stop the game’s recurring time loop.
“Ramblin ‘” Frank Spicer is one of the “Visionaries” who wants to stop the player. He also turns out to be a DJ and sends this long-distance dedication from Sencit’s ‘Deja Vu’.
Deathloop will be the first year after PlayStation will be the first year console-exclusive for PlayStation (it will also be launched on Windows PC.) Although Microsoft bought Bethesda back in September, Phil Spencer said the company still has the reliable exclusive deals from Bethesda with Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo on PlayStation 5.
