Since January, when we found out that the Japanese family member rated Famitsu Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny 33/40, we’ve been hungry for the news about the upcoming tactical RPG. Thanks to the New Game Plus Expo, an online showcase that took place earlier today, we now finally have a release date: the 29th of June 2021.
The above clip features Nippon Ichi Software’s president, Sohei Niikawa (dressed as a Prinny), outlining the game’s success in Japan and the West – and that he takes the opinion of fans into account. Disgaea 7 already.
For Disgaea’s biggest fans, there’s even a special “Unrelenting Edition” release of the game, which comes along with the digital soundtrack, art book and a physical copy of the game on Switch. The slightly more popular “Limited Edition” edition has a larger art book, a physical soundtrack, a pin set, a cloth patch, a steel book holder and a collector’s box, as well as the game.
The Unrelenting Edition costs $ 59.99 plus shipping, and the Limited Edition costs $ 99.99 plus delivery. Both can be pre-ordered from the links on the Disgaea website. The digital game can be found (and added to your wish list) in the Nintendo eShop.
